The Manager of Business Development position is a duel role, with both Sales Leader and Individual Contributor responsibilities at Ditto. As a Sales Leader, you are responsible for the management of both the sales teams, target account and sales strategy, CRM usage, sales KPI development and tracking and the overall direction of the company’s sales organization and obtainment of the revenue growth goals. As in Individual contributor, you’re responsible for net new and existing revenue growth. The Manager of Business Development’s primary focus will be prospecting and business development of Enterprise Level accounts, while managing the sales team. It’s assumed that the Manager will have a strong understanding of Ditto’s products, services and solutions and will position themselves as a trusted advisor that brings commercial insights to their clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Leader: 25% of Job
  • Hire, retain and manage the Sales Team
  • Manage to and hold team accountable for Sales KPIs and the Pipeline process
  • Sales Coaching, RFP strategy, consulting and deal planning
  • Strategic Account Planning, Territory mapping
  • Work with Marketing to ensure sales has the proper support
  • Attend local Ditto events, participate in presentations and sales calls with your sales team as needed
  • Assist with Quota Setting and Compensation program administration
Individual Contributor: 75% of Job
  • Prospecting, including account and industry research and business development
  • Develop, maintain and report accurately on a sales pipeline
  • Qualify opportunities appropriately
  • Develop strategy, proposals and presentations for prospective clients & opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Develop and/​or maintain key account metrics
  • Work with Client Delivery to create and maintain print and digital project timelines
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual prospecting, activity & sales performance goals/quota


  • Industry Experience preferred
  • Sales Management experience and ability to lead a team
  • Proven ability to close net new accounts; ask for the business
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to accurately assess and qualify opportunities
  • Strong relationship building skills and strong local network
  • Excellent knowledge of Ditto Services and of it’s competitors
